Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept 6 archery sheds that were built and donated by Terra Firma remodeling for use at the archery range.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation develops and maintains sites for outdoor recreation of all types throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Parks and Recreation utilizes volunteers to help engage individuals and groups give back to the community and to help more effectively use available resources, and
WHEREAS, TERRA FIRMA, a remodeling company in Ward 4 of St. Paul was looking for a volunteer opportunity and after working with Parks and Recreation staff offered to build and donate 6 new archery sheds for use at the archery range located in Ward 7; and
WHEREAS; City staff has now received the completed archery sheds and they are ready to be placed at the archery range for public use;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby requested to approve the acceptance of the archery shed donation and recognize the effort and commitment of the staff at TERRA FIRMA for their contribution to the City.
