Authorizing the City to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for the construction of traffic signal controls on Trunk Highway 156 (Concord Street) at the Trunk Highway 52 ramps.
Body
WHEREAS, MnDOT has a project to reconstruct Trunk Highway 156 from Annapolis to TH 52; and
WHEREAS, MnDOT is proposing to install traffic signal controls on TH 156 at the TH 52 ramps; and
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to participate in the cost and furnish materials as outlined in the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City’s cost share is budgeted in the 2021 Concord and Highway 52 Traffic Signals Project and the 2021 Signalized Intersection Safety Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the City’s maintenance responsibilities for the traffic signal controls are outlined in the agreement; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into MnDOT Agreement No.1045964 with the State of Minnesota, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and be it finally
RESOLVED that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
