Authorizing the Fire Department to pay for costs incurred to hold the Fire Captain exam being held between June 7-15, 2021.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department will be holding a Fire Captain exam at Saint Paul College, SBM Fire, and Saint Paul Fire headquarters between June 7-15, 2021; and
WHEREAS, this exam will be evaluated from volunteers from other fire departments; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to provide lunch and mileage for the outside evaluators not to exceed $500; and
WHEREAS, the expenditure of money serves a public purpose to make sure that we have independent evaluators reviewing the Fire Captain exam; and
WHEREAS, the cost of these expenses will be paid from 10022210-72910; Now, Therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure of funds not to exceed $500 for the Fire Department Fire Captain exam.
