Authorizing the Police Department to amend the 2021 Special Fund Budget to add the missed 2020 yearend technical amendment for the 2020 CGIC grant.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) has accepted the Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center Integration Initiative grant from the U.S. Department of Justice grant (RES 19-1668 and RES PH 20-115); and
WHEREAS, the 2021 financing and spending plan needs to be amended and activity budget added for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $633,200 in the Police Department Special Fund; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $633,200 is available for appropriation in the Police Department Special Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
