Title

Amending the financing and spending plans in the Department of Public Works Capital and Operating Budgets for the 2021 Sidewalk Reconstruction Program, the 2021 Jefferson/St Paul Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project and the 2021 Griggs/Scheffer Phase II Project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works plans to reconstruct sidewalks as part of the Downtown Street and Sidewalk Improvements Program; and

 

WHEREAS, sidewalk reconstruction in the downtown area is 100% assessed to abutting property owners; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends adding $582,156 of assessment financing to the 2021 Sidewalk Reconstruction Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the 2021 budget includes $1,300,000 for pedestrian improvements to be completed in coordination with the Mill and Overlay Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the pedestrian improvements will be completed with the 2021 Jefferson/St. Paul Ave Pedestrian Improvement Project and the 2021 Griggs/Scheffer Phase II Project; and

 

WHEREAS, there is a need to transfer $1,150,000 of the pedestrian improvement funding to the 2021 Jefferson/St. Paul Avenue Pedestrian Improvement Project and $150,000 to the 2021 Griggs/Scheffer Phase II Project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Seal/Territorial Pedestrian Improvement Project will be completed with the 2021 Sidewalk Reconstruction Program; and

 

WHEREAS, there is a need to transfer $141,190 of CIB funding from the 2021 Seal/Territorial Pedestrian Improvement Project to the 2021 Sidewalk Reconstruction Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there is available for appropriation funds of $582,156; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.4 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there is available for transfer of appropriation funds of $1,441,190 now, therefore be it

 

RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $582,156 is available for appropriation and that $1,441,190 is available for transfer of appropriation of funds in the Operating and Capital Improvement Budgets, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the Improvements Budgets in the following particulars:
