Authorizing the Police Department to amend the 2021 Special Fund Budget to add the missed 2020 yearend technical amendment.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department (SPPD) has been awarded and budget approved for the 2021 Toward Zero Death Enforcement Program grant in the amount of $711,685 (RES PH 20-238) and the 2021 DWI grant in the amount of $125,000 (RES PH 20-239); and
WHEREAS, the 2021 financing and spending plan for both TZD an DWI grants need to be amended; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation total revenues and spending in excess of those estimated in the budget, funds of $631,601 in the Police Department Special Fund; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor that $631,601 is available for appropriation in the Police Department Special Fund, as heretofore adopted and amended by this Council, be hereby further amended in the particulars as specified in the attached financial analysis.
