Authorizing the Police Department to enter into the Interlocal Agreement with Ramsey County and the City of Maplewood for the 2020 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul Police Department wishes to apply and enter into the 2020 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program and is required to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with Ramsey County and the City of Maplewood who will be sub-granted funds from this award; and
WHEREAS, this grant provides funds to support all components of the criminal justice system, from multi-jurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment and justice information sharing; and
THEREFORE BE IT ORDERED, that the City of Saint Paul is authorized to enter into the joint powers agreement with Ramsey County and the City of Maplewood as substantially set forth for the 2020 JAG program award.
