Amending Council Files RLH 19-99, RLH AR 20-30, RLH AR 20-75, RLH AR 20-112, RLH AR 20-144 to delete the assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services for Quarter 1, 2019, Quarter 3, 2019, Quarter 4, 2019, Quarter 1, 2020 and Quarter 2, 2020 at 749 SIMS AVENUE. (Assessment Nos. 190118, 190158, 200113, 200132 & 200144)

WHEREAS on September 25, 2019, July 15, 2020, July 22, 2020, September 2, 2020, November 18, 2020, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted said assessments, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessments for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services for the following:

 

Jan to March 2019 - CG1902E2/190118/Certified to 2020 Taxes $194.66

July to Sept 2019 - CG1904D3/190158/Certified to 2021 Taxes $133.68

Oct to Dec 2019 - CG2001D2/200113/Certified to 2021 Taxes $112.15

Jan to March 2020 - CG2002D1/200132/ Certified to 2021 Taxes $121.96

April to June 2020 - CG2003B2/200144/ Certified to 2021 Taxes $106.34

 

WHEREAS, the property at 749 Sims Avenue, being described as: Arlington Hills Add B40&45-49 Lot 13 Blk 22, with the property identification number 29-29-22-41-0031 was assessed amounts listed above which totaled $668.79; and

 

WHEREAS, Public Works staff recommends deleting the assessments as there was a vacancy request from owner that should have gone into effect since January 1, 2019 for one of the three residential dwelling units at the property, and through City error the request was not properly porcessed; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the reduction of $668.79, plus any accrued interests, is deleted and the Offices of Financial Services will abate Quarter 1, 2019 from the 2020 Property Tax Statement and Quarter 3 and 4, 2019 and Quarters 1 and 2, 2020 from the 2021 Property Tax Statement.
