Amending Council Files RLH AR 20-43, RLH AR 20-81, RLH AR 20-115, RLH AR 20-149 to delete the assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services for Quarter 3, 2019, Quarter 4, 2019, Quarter 1, 2020 and Quarter 2, 2020 at 397 THOMAS AVENUE. (Assessment Nos.190163, 200119, 200138, 200146)

WHEREAS on July 15, 2020, July 22, 2020, September 2, 2020 and November 18, 2020, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted said assessment numbers above, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessments for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services for Quarter 3, 2019, Quarter 4, 2019, Quarter 1, 2020 and Quarter 2020; and
WHEREAS, the property at 397 Thomas Avenue, being described as: Smiths Subdivision of Blks 2 6 7 and 8 Lot 11 Blk 8, with the property identification number 36-29-23-21-0148 was assessed amounts of $110.48, $110.48, $107.02 and $93.07 which totaled $421.05; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff recommends deleting the assessments as the owner was deceased as of August 10, 2019 and the property was vacant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $421.05, plus any accrued interests, is deleted and the Offices of Financial Services will abate this from the 2021 Property Taxes Statements.
