Purpose of Appeal: I am currently rehabbing this property under the Inspiring Communities Program. I have experienced delays in the project due to the pandemic, including: 1) Company providing historic window restoration/replacement went out of business due to financial crisis, 2) Scheduling issues with subcontractors/only one trade in house at a time, 3) Carpenter/painter no longer able to work due to health issue, 4) Longer lead times, higher costs due to supply chain issues.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Paul Ormseth, Paul Ormseth Restoration and Construction LLC, to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 767 FOURTH STREET EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 90 days to April 9, 2021; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
