Authorizing the Police Department's expenditures relating to community meetings and events.

WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Department has several on-going programs that help create community partnerships and it is essential to be in attendance for events and meetings to further these partnerships; and

 

WHEREAS, the public purpose is to foster the department’s commitment to trusted service with respect in the community; and

 

WHEREAS, Saint Paul Police Department is requesting authorization to expense food, beverage and admittance costs to the Police 2021 General Fund and Special Fund budgets for officers that are required to be in attendance; and

 

BE IT ORDERED, that pursuant to the 2021 city budget, the proper city officials are hereby authorized to remit an amount not to exceed $3,000 to cover these expenses.
