Renaming one block of Lexington Parkway that now ends with a cul-de-sac north of Montreal Avenue to Old Lexington Avenue.

WHEREAS, Ramsey County has built a new segment of Lexington Parkway as part of the 2020 Lexington Realignment Project; and
WHEREAS, the new segment of Lexington Parkway now connects with Seventh Street West; and
WHEREAS, the creation of this new street section requires renaming the existing block of Lexington Parkway that now ends with a cul-de-sac north of Montreal Avenue, to avoid duplication; and
WHEREAS, the name change has been reviewed by district council and the Historic Preservation Commission; and
WHEREAS, the seven property owners with addresses on the existing portion of Lexington Parkway have been notified of the need for the street name change; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the one block segment of Lexington Parkway bounded by Lexington Parkway and the cul-de-sac, as shown on the attached map, is officially renamed as OLD LEXINGTON AVENUE; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this street name change shall be in effect on February 1, 2021.
