Approving the Mayor's reappointment of Eric Forstrom to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 102.02 (a) states that the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission consists of nine (9) members appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the council; and
WHEREAS, the Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity staff and commissioners have reviewed applications and conducted interviews of interested applicants; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 102.02 (b), Eric Forstrom is recommended for reappointment to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission; and
WHEREAS, Eric Forstrom is serving his first term on the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission which expired in July 2020;
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to reappoint Eric Forstrom to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission to a second three-year term ending on January 06, 2024; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council consents to the reappointment of reappoint Eric Forstrom to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission to a second three-year terms ending on January 1, 2024.
