Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for, and if awarded, accept $2,500 in grant funds from the JCI Saint Paul Chapter to support the 2021 Parks and Recreation Amazing Race at the McDonough Recreation Center.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for a $2,500 grant from the JCI Saint Paul Chapter, and if awarded, accept said funds to support the 2021 Parks and Recreation Amazing Race at McDonough Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will provide the ability to purchase supplies for the 2021 Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Amazing Race, benefiting Saint Paul youth participants; and
WHEREAS, there is no required match of these funds by the City and other supporting agencies of the 2021 Parks and Recreation Amazing Race; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Department Parks and Recreation to apply for said grant, and if awarded, accept said funds from the JCI Saint Paul Chapter to support the 2021 Parks and Recreation Amazing Race at McDonough Recreation Center.
