Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply for $15,000 in grant funds from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council to support the Healing The Soul Arts Project at Hancock and Rice Recreation Centers.

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting permission to apply for, and if awarded, accept $15,000 in grant funds from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council to support the Healing The Soul Arts Project at Hancock and Rice Recreation Centers; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds, if awarded, will provide the ability to provide quality, artist-lead art programming to Saint Paul youth; and
WHEREAS, there is no match of these funds required by the City and other supporting agencies of the Healing The Soul Arts Project; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul authorizes the Parks and Recreation Department to apply for said grant, and if awarded, accept said funds from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council.
