Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a grant of $79,122.36 to reduce the cost of play equipment for Hamline Park.

 

Body

 

WHEREAS, Hamline Park, located at 1564 Lafond Ave, Saint Paul, has been selected as a CDBG playground update site based on its high need and high ranking for replacement; and

 

WHEREAS, Minnesota-Wisconsin Playground is a Minnesota company and an industry leader in supplying and installing new play equipment products and components that include best-selling play structures and components nationwide; and

 

 WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation has selected Minnesota-Wisconsin Playground to provide new playground equipment valued at $237,933.64 from a state contract; and

 

WHEREAS, GameTime has a grant program which will reduce the cost of the equipment he donation, if accepted, will allow the Department of Parks and Recreation to install new play equipment at Hamline Park; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said play equipment discount; now, therefore, be it 

 

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul accepts the grant and thanks GameTimeere to accept said play equipment for play equipment at Hamline Park; and, be it
