Accepting a $100 gift from Adele Hoglin, to be placed in the City's General Fund.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (City) is authorized to accept donations pursuant to Minnesota Statutes for the benefit of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, Adele Hoglin offered to donate $100.00 to the City (the "Gift"); and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept the Gift from Adele Hoglin; and
WHEREAS, in her donation letter, attached hereto, Adele Hoglin directed that the Gift be placed and used in the City’s General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City finds it is appropriate to accept the Gift for the benefit of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the City Charter and by receipt and acceptance of the Gift, certifies that there is available for appropriation funds of $100.00 in excess of those dedicated to General Government Accounts in 2020; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul does hereby:
1. Authorize acceptance of the Gift from Adele Hoglin in the amount of $100.00 for the City of Saint Paul’s General Fund.
2. Amend the 2020 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, as outlined in the attached financial analysis.
3. Thanks Adele Hoglin for the Gift and her generosity.
