Acknowledging receipt of District Energy St. Paul, Inc. notice of rate increase as of October 1, 2020, and directing the Office of Financial Services, the City Attorney’s Office, and Council Operations to review and analyze the rate changes.

WHEREAS, on August 13, 2020, pursuant to Section 11(e) of the district cooling franchise (City Ordinance CF 07-1109 adopted December 12, 2007, and modified by City Ordinance CF 13-45, adopted September 25, 2013), District Energy St. Paul, Inc. filed a rate change notice as of October 1, 2020, with the City:
Demand: $30.02 per ton per month
Energy: $0.094 per ton per hour
Transition Rate: $0.394 per ton per hour; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Mayor and the City Council acknowledge the receipt of this notice and direct the Office of Financial Services, the City Attorney’s Office, and Council Operations to review and analyze the rate changes, and report back to the City Council on its findings within 180 days.
