Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Property owner stated that they received a notice from the city of a pending Quarter 1 assessment in the amount of $87.32. The property owner made a payment to Waste Management on 1/31/20 in the amount of $88.00, and a payment on 3/3/20 in the amount of $88.00 stated that she had the confirmation emails stating that these payments were received by Waste Management.
Staff Comments: Hauler confirmed that the property owner did make the two payments noted. However when she made them, she used her old WM account information (Account #500-288056). This was an account that she canceled back in Sept 2017. Therefore the hauler confirmed that they will move that credit balance of $176.00 to the property owner's new consortium account. The remaining amount of $88.68 will stay as a credit balance on her current account. Therefore staff recommends removing the assessment.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during January to March 2020.
