Returned Mail/Notice Concerns?:

Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): The property owner stated that he did not receive any late notices from Republic Services regarding the Quarter 1 2020 assessment. As they are set up for auto-pay they are not sure why they were referred to the city for collection. They they have contacted Republic Services and the customer service representative told him that they were able to view the payments that the property owner made through auto-pay. The customer service representative stated that therefore they should not have been sent to the city for collection.

Staff Comments: Hauler stated that when the property owner set up the auto pay, the card number was entered in incorrectly so the payment was declined. They also stated that they sent out the late fee letters to let them know it wasn’t paid, which staff has been able to verify. Customer fixed the auto pay and the Quarter 2 2020 was paid via the auto pay. Therefore, staff recommends approving the assessment.
