Approving the Mayor’s reappointment of Adam M. Niblick to a three-year term on the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority.
Body
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) is a legally distinct public entity which undertakes housing, commercial, and business development activities; and
WHEREAS, the HRA authorizes the acquisition of real estate, housing and commercial loans and grants, and the issuance of bonds; and
WHEREAS, the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority's organizational documents provides that the Mayor, with the consent of City Council, shall appoint one member to the Plan’s Administrative Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority is comprised of both HRA and PHA employees and retirees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the appointment by Mayor Chris Coleman of Adam M. Niblick to the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority on June 28, 2017 (RES 17-976) and his term expires on July 01, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Adam M. Niblick has applied for consideration for reappointment to the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority and has been recommended for reappointment by Alicia Huckleby, Director of Human Resources for the PHA; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to reappoint Adam M. Niblick to the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the reappointment of Adam M. Niblick to serve on the Administrative Committee of the Pension Plan of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority for another 3 years with a term end date of July 01, 2023.
