Appeal of Patrick M. Hill to a Vehicle Abatement Order at 873 HAWTHORNE AVENUE EAST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, July 21, 2020, teleconference call between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  No violation.  Surface previously approved 3 times.  (Also see attached letter.)

Date of Order(s) Under Appeal:  June 25, 2020

Inspector/Key Staff:  Richard Kedrowski

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  Inspector Kedrowski gave staff permission to accept this late appeal.  Appellant told staff that he needs time to make his case and gather documentation of abatement orders, so he requested a Legislative Hearing date further out.  When staff was reluctant to schedule this further out, appellant said that the vehicles were not there anyway.  When asked why he was appealing if the issue is abated, he responded that he plans to move the vehicles back to this spot. 

 

Body

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Patrick M. Hill to a Vehicle Abatement Order at 873 HAWTHORNE AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to August 7, 2020 for compliance with the parking surface orders by repairing  Class 5 gravel and ensuring parking pad is setback at least 4 feet from neighboring property line with clear delineation landscape; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
