Approving the amendment to the Management Agreement between the City of Saint Paul and Saint Paul Urban Tennis in order to design and construct five new tennis courts at Eastview Park and extend the Agreement for five additional years.
Body
WHEREAS, the City and Manager entered into an Agreement on March 31, 2017 for the management and operation of the Eastview Recreation Center which terminates on March 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, that agreement allows Manager to raise funds for the addition of new tennis courts and extend the agreement for another five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, Manager has secured $449,871 for the design, construction, and maintenance of five additional tennis courts; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has reviewed the design and construction plans provided by Manager and finds them satisfactory; and
WHEREAS, Manager is a valued entity in the Saint Paul community and valued partner of the Parks and Recreation Department; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul approves the attached amendment to the Saint Paul Urban Tennis Management Agreement to extend the agreement and allow for construction of five additional tennis courts in Eastview Park, 1675 5th St E, St Paul, MN 55106.
