Appeal of Mee Moua, Kindred Care, to a Vacant Building Registration Fee at 1108 SIXTH STREET EAST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  Tuesday, July 7, 2020, Teleconference call between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  The building was purchased on September 6, 2019, and vacant property was paid off at that time.  The property is undergoing renovations and is nearing the completion state.  All mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and building code compliance permits have been pulled.  The estimate time of completion is June 30, 2020.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Mee Moua, Kindred Care, to a Vacant Building Registration Fee at 1108 SIXTH STREET EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive the vacant building fee for 90 days to September 19, 2020; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
