Authoring the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $13,800 from The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library, through a grant from the Verizon Foundation, and amending the 2020 Financing and Spending Plans in the Library Agency
Body
WHEREAS, THE Saint Paul Public Library/Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library has been awarded a grant in the amount of $13,800 from Verizon Foundation; and
WHEREAS, the grant will fund the costs of staff time, wifi router and service, publicity and communications, and materials to work on digital inclusion through the Bookmobile: and
WHEREAS, the grant will provide opportunities for local communities to interact with library staff, programs, and services at Bookmobile stops; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans for these monies has not been established; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $13,800 in excess of those estimated in the 2020 budget and recommends the changes to the 2020 budget described in the attached fiscal analysis; Now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Library Board approves the changes to the 2020 Budget and accepts the grant; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Library Board is hereby amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
