Authorizing the City to enter into a cooperative agreement with Ramsey County for the Payne/7th Intersection Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul reconstructed the intersection of Payne Avenue and East 7th Street in 2017; and
WHEREAS, the project was a collaboration between the City, Ramsey County and MnDOT; and
WHEREAS, Ramsey County has agreed to share in the cost of the improvements in the amount of $315,022.71; and
WHEREAS, the cooperative agreement contains a mutual indemnification clause between the County and City, which the Council finds appropriate in order to effectuate this Project; and
WHEREAS, the cooperative agreement defines ownership and maintenance responsibilities for the improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into Ramsey County Cooperative Agreement PUBW2018-04, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
