Authorizing the City to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Lauderdale for the 2020 Como Saint Paul Streets Project.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul plans to conduct roadway reconstruction and associated infrastructure improvements on Como Avenue from Brompton Street to 33rd Street; and
WHEREAS, Lauderdale wishes to participate in this project for the portion located within the City of Lauderdale; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul agrees to include Lauderdale’s work, consistent with the design plans, as a part of the Project; and
WHEREAS, Lauderdale agrees to participate in the cost of these improvements as outlined in the Joint Powers Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the funding from the City of Lauderdale was added to the 2020 Como SPS project via Council Resolution Public Hearing 20-71.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are hereby
authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to enter into this Joint Powers Agreement with the City of Lauderdale, a copy of which is before Council and is made a part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the proper City Officials are authorized to
execute the Agreement and any amendments to the Agreement.
