Approving and authorizing acceptance of a Livable Communities Transit Oriented Development grant from the Metropolitan Council for the River Balcony Schematic Design, and amending the 2020 Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Council on:
- October 23, 2019 by Resolution number 19-1787, authorized the Department of Parks and Recreation to apply to the Metropolitan Council’s Livable Communities Transit Oriented Development grant for the River Balcony Project with a 25% local funding match requirement; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved the following grant application:
- Livable Communities Transit Oriented Development grant of $100,000.00 for the River Balcony Schematic Design with the local funding match coming from non-city funding through private fundraising being completed by the Great River Passage Conservancy; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $100,000.00 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2020 budget and recommends the changes to the 2020 budget identified on the attached Financial Analysis; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts this grant and approves the changes identified on the attached Financial Analysis to the 2020 budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Director of the Office of Financial Services, Director of Human Rights and Equal Opportunity, and Director of Parks and Recreation of the City of Saint Paul are hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the purposes of this resolution.
