Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Resident submitted an Unoccupied Dwelling Registration form to the city in July of 2019 for one of the residential dwelling units. The vacancy update was sent to Waste Management with the 7-19-19 Hauler Update List. They also requested a cart switch in July from a medium 64-gallon cart to a small 35-gallon every other week cart in July.
Staff Comments: Staff confirmed with hauler that resident has submitted an Unoccupied Dwelling Registration form to the city in July of 2019, as well as reuested a cart swap from a medium 64-gallon cart to a 35-gallon every other week cart in July 2019. Therefore, staff recommends reducing the assessment to the cost of a small 35-gallon every other week cart ($60.83).

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during July to September 2019. (File No. CG1904E2, Assessment No. 190161) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
