Approving and authorizing acceptance of grants from the Metropolitan Council's Local Housing Incentives Account of the Metropolitan Livable Communities Fund, and amending the 2020 Budget.
Body
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded a $120,000.00 grant to the City of Saint Paul under its Local Housing Incentives Account to the Oakdale Avenue Project Phase II affordable housing project located in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota;
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has awarded a $335,000.00 grant to the City of Saint Paul under its Local Housing Incentives Account to the American House Recapitalization affordable housing project located in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does hereby certify that $ 455,000.00 in funds are available for appropriation in excess of those estimated in the 2020 budget and recommends the changes to the 2020 budget identified on the attached Financial Analysis; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Saint Paul accepts these grants and approves the changes identified on the attached Financial Analysis to the 2020 budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Director of the Office of Financial Services, Director of Human Rights and Equal Opportunity, and Director of Planning and Economic Development of the City of Saint Paul are hereby authorized to execute Metropolitan Livable Communities Act Grant Agreements, and such other agreements as are necessary to implement the purposes of this resolution.
