Authorizing a Professional Services Contract with Messerli Kramer, P.A.

 

Body

WHEREAS, Saint Paul Administrative Code §45.03 requires that all contracts for lobbying activities be first authorized by resolution of the City Council; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor’s Office wishes to contract with Messerli Kramer to represent the City of Saint Paul before the Minnesota Legislature and state administrative agencies for non-tax related lobbying services, including presence at committee hearings, floor sessions of the Senate and the House of Representatives, conference committee hearings and meetings with individual policy makers; and

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the scope of services indicated above is consistent with the City’s state legislative agenda; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the appropriate City officials to enter into a professional services agreement with Messerli Kramer, P.A.
