Authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept a donation of 48 Chromebooks and two charging stations from Vivacity Tech.
Body
WHEREAS, Vivacity Tech wishes to donate 48 chromebooks and two (2) charging stations, with a total value of $18,670.00 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the donation, if accepted, will provide access to computers and technology through a partnership with Osiris and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation at the Frogtown Community Center and West Minnehaha; and
WHEREAS, there is no requirement for matching funds and no financial commitment by the City; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of this donation will provide economically disadvantaged youth with access to technology and opportunities for learning; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the Department of Parks and Recreation to accept the donation of 48 chromebooks and two charging stations from Vivacity Tech; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council and the Department of Parks and Recreation thank Vivacity Tech for their generous donation.
