Body

WHEREAS, Take Action MN Education Fund is a 501(c)3 with program activities of policy research and development, community organizing, public education around issues, and civic participation; and

WHEREAS, the Governing Power Strategy Retreat aims to Identify obstacles and challenges to movement cogoverning and share learnings and ideas toward developing best practices on overcoming them; and

WHEREAS, Councilmember Mitra Jalali has been invited to represent the City of Saint Paul at the 2020 Governing Power Strategy Retreat in Chicago, IL on January 24-26^th, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Take Action MN Education Fund has offered to cover the travel expenses, lodging, and meals for Councilmember Mitra Jalali to attend the convening; now therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of up to $900 for travel expenses, lodging and meals for Councilmember Mitra Jalali to attend the Governing Power Strategy Retreat.
