Approving the Mayor's appointments of Jilla Nadimi to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission.
Body
WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 102.02 (a) states that the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission consists of nine (9) members appointed by the mayor with the consent of the council; and
WHEREAS, Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity staff and commissioners have reviewed applications and conducted interviews of interested applicants; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Saint Paul Legislative Code Section 102.02 (b), the Director of Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity leadership have recommended Jilla Nadimi for appointment as a commissioner; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Jilla Nadimi to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission to her first three-year term ending on January 31, 2023; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council consents to the appointment of Jilla Nadimi to the Police Civilian Internal Affairs Review Commission to their first three-year terms ending on January 31, 2023.
