Approving the Mayor’s appointments of Tony Lusiba and Rebecca Degendorfer to the Workforce Innovation Board.
Body
WHEREAS, local workforce development boards are required entities under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to provide oversight for the public workforce system; and
WHEREAS, The Workforce Innovation Board is made up of thirty-three (33) members representing Business, Community-Based Organizations, One-Stop Workforce Center Partners, Labor, Economic Development, Education, and Elected Officials; and
WHEREAS, Tony Lusiba and Rebecca Degendorfer have applied for consideration for appointment to the Workforce Improvement Board as business representatives and have been recommended for reappointment by Workforce Solutions staff;
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Tony Lusiba and Rebecca Degendorfer to the Workforce Innovation Board; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Tony Lusiba and Rebecca Degendorfer to two year terms on the Workforce Innovation Board ending Janaury 31, 2022.
