Title

Amending the financing and spending plan in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the amount of $25,000 for funds granted from the National Recreation and Park Association for the Western Sculpture Park play area improvement project.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul’s Department of Parks and Recreation applied for and has received an National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Connecting Communities through Outdoor Play Program grant (CF 19-2058) to make improvements to the Western Sculpture Park play area; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to accept said grant funds that do not require a match, and amend the financing and spending plan for said Outdoor Recreation grant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will provide construction management and implementation services for the project; and

 

WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation, funds of $25,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that $25,000 is available for appropriation in the 2018 Capital Improvement Budget, and said 2018 budget, as heretofore adopted by the Council, is hereby amended as attached.
