Resolution authorizing acceptance of a grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) as a subgrantee of the Minnesota Home Ownership Center (“MNHOC”) for funding of administrative costs for counselors for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program, Citywide
Body
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (“HRA”) is eligible to receive a grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), as a subgrantee of the Minnesota Home Ownership Center (MNHOC), to provide foreclosure counseling services and related outreach and administrative support for the counselors of Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program; and
WHEREAS, HRA staff is recommending approval of this grant;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the HRA Board of Commissioners takes the following action:
1. Approves and authorizes the HRA to accept a grant in the sum of $10,000.00 from HUD, as a subgrantee of MNHOC, to provide services under the Comprehensive Counseling and Mortgage Modification Assistance for the contract period October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2019.
2. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director or designee to finalize financing terms, conditions, and other provisions for the HRA to receive this grant.
3. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director to execute all agreements, documents, and instruments needed to implement this Resolution.
