Approving the Mayor's appointments of Kamara Pettus and Clarence White to the Cultural STAR Board.
Body
WHEREAS, RES 94-1005 and RES 13-690 state that the Cultural STAR Board shall consist of nine members with two from a large cultural organization, two from a medium sized cultural organization, one from a small cultural organization, one from a philanthropic organization, one from a Saint Paul business, and two at large members; and
WHEREAS, RES 94-1005 and RES 13-690 state that at least four members of the Cultural STAR Board must be residents of Saint Paul with the rest living and working in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, Kamara Pettus of the Bush Foundation and Clarence White of the East Side Freedom Library have applied for appointment on the Cultural STAR Board; and
WHEREAS, Kamara Pettus and Clarence White represent respectively a philanthropic organization and an at large organization; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Carter wishes to appoint Kamara Pettus and Clarence White to a three-year term on the Cultural STAR Board; and
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves the appointment of Kamara Pettus and Clarence White to a three year appointment to the Cultural STAR Board with terms ending October 23, 2022.
