Entering into an agreement with Falcon Heights to define construction, ownership, and maintenance responsibilities for the Como Avenue Trail.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has is committed to completing the Grand Round, which includes construction of a regionally significant trail; and
WHEREAS, Public Works has secured federal funding to construct the Como Avenue Trail between Raymond Avenue, and Hamline Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Como Avenue Trail is scheduled to be constructed in 2020; and
WHEREAS, an agreement is required to define trail ownership and maintenance responsibilities outside of the city limits; and
WHEREAS, Saint Paul agrees to operate and maintain the trail for its useful life within the City of Falcon Heights; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City of St. Paul enter into an agreement with Falcon Heights to define trail construction, ownership, and maintenance responsibilities.
