Title

Changing the rate of pay for classifications in Grades 001, 002, 28H, and 31H of the Special Employment Salary Schedule 99; and Grade 001 of AFSCME Clerical, AFSCME Technical, and Tri-Council Laborers Salary Schedules.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul passed Saint Paul Legislative Code Chapter 224 establishing  minimum wages employers must pay; and

 

 

WHEREAS, the phased-in minimum wage for a macro business is effectiv e as of January 1, 2020 and  is $12.50 per hour; and

 

WHEREAS, the results of this ordinance instruct that the rate of pay be changed for the titles of Intern/Hourly and Emergency Medical Services Cadet Assistant - Temporary at Grade 001, City Council Assistant - Hourly at Grade 002, Advanced Police Explorer and Emergency Medical Services Cadet - Temporary at Grade 28H, and Parks and Recreation Worker at Grade 31H of the Employee Group 99 Special Employment salary schedule, Grade 001 of Employee Group 01 AFSCME Clerical and Employee Group 02 AFSCME Technical, and Parks Worker I-No Benefits at Grade 001 of the Employee Group 71 Tri-Council Laborers salary schedule; now therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, pursuant to City Charter Sections 6.03.3(5) and 12.01, that the rate of pay for the classifications listed above be established at the rate set forth in EG 01 AFSCME Clerical, EG 02 AFSCME Technical, EG 99 Special Employment, and EG 71 Tri-Council Laborers consistent with the attached salary schedule charts. This resolution shall take effect and be in force on January 1, 2020.
