WHEREAS on May 22, 2019, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH AR 19-47, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2018. (File No. CG1901B4, Assessment No. 190060); and
WHEREAS, the property at 758 Cottage Avenue West, being described as: Steenberg’s Parkview Lot 4 Blk 5, with the property identification number 23-29-23-42-0067 was assessed an amount of $96.08; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff recommends deleting the assessment because the resident should have not been charged, as he tried to set the property up as vacant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $96.08, plus any accrued interests, be deleted and the Offices of Financial Services will abate this reduction from the 2020 Property Taxes Statement.
