WHEREAS, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation October Meeting will convene in Fort Myers, FL on October 27, 28 and 29, 2019; and
WHEREAS, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation has offered to pay some costs associated with city staff attending the conference; and
WHEREAS, the city believes that having city staff attend the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Meeting will be beneficial by equipping Saint Paul with the ideas and tools within the fire service community to reduce firefighter deaths and injuries, to honor and remember fallen fire heroes, and to provide resources to assist their families in rebuilding their lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby accepts the gift for the airfare, lodging, ground transportation from the airport, and some meal expenses for the October Meeting and thanks the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for its generous gift.
