Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): I submitted a service hold request to Berquist garbage haulers, and Waste Mgmt. took over in April 2019 for Berquist routes and must have billed me when i should not have been billed until June 30th due to the service hold request being submitted to Berquist to start Jan. 1, 2019.

Staff Comments: Waste Management confirmed that the property owner had a temporary service hold in place from 1/1/19 to 6/30/19. Staff recommends deleting this assessment. Staff sent a letter on 9/25/19 informing the property owner that the assessment would be removed.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during April to June 2019. (File No. CG1903B2, Assessment No. 190126) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
