Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $107,286.45 for a contribution received from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education to pay for training for firefighters.
Body
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education (MBFTE) has awarded a contribution of $107,286.45 for the Saint Paul Fire Department to reimburse costs associated with firefighter training; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this contribution will be used to pay for training for firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $107,286.45 in excess of those estimated in the 2019 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the additions as specified in the attachment "MBFTE Financial Analysis $107,286.45" be made to the 2019 budget; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accepts this contribution of $107,286.45 from the Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education, extends its sincere appreciation to this organization, and approves the changes to the 2019 budget.
