Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): I have not used my garbage services due to fire at my place. I am set up for garbage pick up every other week. I am happy to pay that amount.
Staff Comments: Property owner started occupying the property on 5/1/19 using a 35-gallon Every Other Week cart. Staff recommends reducing assessment to $40.55 (removing the cost of 1 month of service - $20.28). Staff has communicated this to property owner and he has made a payment of $40.55 to Assessments dept on 10/2/19.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during April to June 2019. (File No. CG1903A1, Assessment No. 190121) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefore, Be It
