Authorizing a license agreement between Capital City Properties and the St. Paul Police Activities League for office space in the Treasure Island Center for the Police PAL program.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Police Activities League, ("PAL") on behalf of the Saint Paul Police Department, desires to enter into a one-year License Agreement ("License") with the Capital City Properties ("CCP"), which operates as Master Tenant for the Treasure Island Center, 400 Wabasha Street North, Saint Paul Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, PAL desires to use office and conference room space in the Securian Financial Equity on Ice Education Center within the Treasure Island Center in support of hockey programs for St. Paul youth; and
WHEREAS, the License, attached hereto as Exhibit A, provides for a term of one (1) year, extending from November 1, 2019 through October 31, 2020, at a monthly rent of $135.00; and
WHEREAS, the License requires PAL to indemnify CCP for non-performance of the agreement, damage to the licensed premises or injury to persons in the licensed premises; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the License will help facilitate a valuable public service to youth in our community; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper city officials to execute the License in a form and content substantially as set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto.
