Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): we bought these properties as vacant properties and never requested garbage services for them.
Staff Comments: Property owner contacted Chris Swanson on 5/21/19 to request a vacancy hold. City records do not show any calls in to the call center prior to this. Vacancy hold was placed starting 6/1/19. Because the City did not receive indication that the property was vacant prior to this, service was provided during Quarter 1 2019. Property owner is responsible for paying this charge.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during January to March 2019. (File No. CG1902B1, Assessment No. 190105 File No. CG1902B1-1, Assessment No. 190141) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
