Resolution authorizing acceptance of a home ownership education, counseling, and training fund grant from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program, Citywide

WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) has offered to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA) funding for administrative costs for counselors for the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the HRA Board of Commissioners takes the following action:
1. Authorizes the acceptance of a grant amount not to exceed $18,200 to operate a comprehensive counseling for homeowners from MHFA to provide services under the Home Ownership Education and Training (HECAT) Fund for the program years 2019-2021.
2. Authorizes the HRA Executive Director or her designee to finalize financing terms, conditions, and other provisions for HRA to participate in the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program activities.
