Purpose of Appeal:  The water heater has been ordered and professinal plumber will be installing.  Asking for more time to get other work done.  The lower unit is vacant.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:    Staff was told by Fire staff this would go to VB on 9/18/19; however, now informed that VB staff is holding off on VB due to the condemenation appeal.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Carolyn Brown to a Notice of Condemnation Unfit for Human Habitation Order to Vacate at 707 PREBLE STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant 30 days (to October 31, 2019) to get Certificate of Occupancy reinstated; and grant until June 12, 2020 for retaining wall repair; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
