Accepting the gift of conference registration fees and travel expenses from The Atlantic, The Aspen Institute, and Bloomberg Philanthropies for Chief Innovation Officer Matt Larson to attend the CityLab summit in Washington DC, on October 26-29, 2019.

WHEREAS, Chief Innovation Officer Matt Larson has been invited to be part of a cohort at the 2019 CityLab summit to include global mayors, Chief Innovation Officers, and urban leaders to participate in conversation and idea sharing, with the goal of making cities more vibrant and livable; and
WHEREAS, the 2019 CityLab summit will address issues along the theme of opportunity, the future of transportation, housing, public health, economic mobility; and
WHEREAS, The Atlantic, The Aspen Institute and Bloomberg Philanthropies offered to cover the conference registration fees, accommodation, meals, and airfare for Chief Innovation Officer Matt Larson to attend the 2019 CityLab summit; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts the gift of conference registration fees and travel expenses for Chief Innovation Officer Matt Larson to attend the 2019 CityLab summit and thanks The Atlantic, The Aspen Institute and Bloomberg Philanthropies for their generosity.
